Department of Electrical Engineering Degrees Offered: Electrical Engineering Discipline Overview: Electrical Engineering integrates aspects of physics, biology, medicine, materials science, and engineering to generate and transmit electromagnetic fields and electricity for use in communications, biotechnology applications, and electronic circuits. It prepares students to pursue solutions to urgent problems in numerous and widely varying areas including the generation and regulation of electric power supplied to the home, the manipulation of signals for communication purposes, and the design of specialized circuits for equipment ranging from household appliances to military aircraft.
